Draft — Not Legal Advice

This page is a working draft, prepared to support launch planning. It has not been reviewed by an attorney.

Do not rely on it as a finished, compliant policy or as legal advice. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified attorney before this site goes live.

This policy describes what information Players First collects through playersfirst.net, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It covers the public website, the contact form, and Players First Discovery™ bookings.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, and a small amount of information collected automatically.

  • Contact form submissions — organization name, your name, email, phone, role, approximate registered player count, and whatever you write in the message field.
  • Discovery Call bookings — the date and time you choose, and the intake information you provide when booking (organization name, approximate player count, your role, and your primary concern).
  • Automatic technical information — the page that referred you here and, for spam prevention, a verification signal from Cloudflare Turnstile. Your IP address is used briefly to complete that verification and is not stored alongside your submission.
  • Website analytics — aggregate, anonymous usage data through Cloudflare Web Analytics. See Cookies and Analytics, below.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule a Discovery Call
  • Understand your organization well enough to have a useful first conversation
  • Deliver our services if you become a client
  • Keep basic business records of our own communications
  • Understand, in aggregate, how the website is used, so we can improve it
  • Prevent spam and abusive form submissions

Cookies and Analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic. It is cookieless — it does not set a cookie, build a profile of you, or track you across other websites. It reports aggregate metrics, like how many people visited a page, not identifiable individuals.

Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to screen out automated spam. Turnstile runs a brief check in your browser to help confirm you're not a bot. It is designed as a more privacy-preserving alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs.

Who We Share Information With

We don't sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run Players First, and each only sees what it needs to do its job.

  • Google Workspace — our business email, and the Google Calendar / Google Meet system used for Discovery Call scheduling.
  • Cloudflare — hosts this website, our database, and file storage, and provides Turnstile spam protection and Web Analytics.
  • Resend — delivers transactional email, such as notifying us when you submit a form.
  • Stripe — processes payment for paid services, using Stripe's own hosted Payment Links. We do not receive or store your card details.

Data Storage and Security

Information you submit is stored in a Cloudflare-hosted database. We limit access to the people who need it to run the business, and we rely on established providers for hosting and email rather than storing sensitive information on personal devices.

No online system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to us.

Data Retention

We keep contact form submissions and Discovery Call information for as long as it's reasonably useful to follow up with you — generally, until it's clear an engagement isn't moving forward, or, if you become a client, for the duration of our work together and a reasonable period afterward for our own business records.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time. See Your Choices, below.

Youth and Player Information

Players First works with organizations that serve young athletes, but this website is built for the adults who run those organizations — club leaders, coaches, and administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.

Some future features, such as a survey gathering feedback about the player experience, may involve information related to minors, collected through a parent rather than directly from a child. Any such feature will come with its own, more specific privacy disclosures before it launches.

Your Choices

You can ask us, at any time, to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it.

We have not completed a review of which specific regional privacy laws may apply to you. If you have a request related to your local privacy rights, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the website and our services change. We'll update the date below when we do.
